Debapriya,
nice of you to point that out. Actually the main aim of the post is to
just counter the toned-down review of Shaan by an incompetent
reviewer. Yes, "mitwa - tere liye jeena" is another wonderful number
in the movie. One more song that was missed out in the review was
"Daiyya mein jahan chale pasha"..which is again an excellent number,
with the pancham-esque magic of different musical instruments and the
brilliant rendering of kishore along with other singers.

Generally one of these songs is always left out on a Shaan combo but
last year I purchased "HMV classics - Shaan" CD and thankfully all the
songs were there!

I fully agree with Debopriya. The song is too good to digest. I have one LP
record of Shaan. The song is included in this record. More over the
recording is also very good with fantastic stereo effect.I personally feel,
the record published by polydor/music india is very rich in sound quality.I
have the same experiance for " Pukar", "Sanam teri kasam" etc.Though the
recording of Sanam Teri Kasam is not stereo recorded, but it hardly
matters.....sound is too crisp !!

Presently I have recerded two new CDs from LP, having " Kacche Here, Chor
ho to aisa, Balika bodhu, joshila". All are having good sound quality.

Love & Best wishes to all of you.
